The vineyard cycle was characterized with a rainy autumm and winter. The sprout was healthy so we had to do a very good green pruning.
Summer was hot and dry with a very high temperature differences between night and day. Field tasks as cleared bunches let the grapes achieve fenolic riping completely.
Our viticultura is adapted for a vineyard situated at 900m altitude, with limestone soil, respecting the enviroment and wildlife.
Handy harvest took place and the end of october, using 12kg boxes and with a double selection of the bunches at vineyard and at a sorting table in the winery.
Fermentation and settled, 15 days, was done into 300l open oak casks with a very low extraction. Ageing was done into used 225l casks with medium toast and during 10 months
The result is a 100% grenache wine from 80 years old vineyard, pie franco, with mineral touches taken from the sandy and limestone soil of Martin Muñoz de las Posadas (Segovia)
Bottled date: january 12th 2018.
Production: 1.300 uds 75cl.
